The Middleton Project

So the whole world is only crazy about one subject matter in particular. The royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton (or should I say Widdleton). And of course, we all know Kate in the fashion industry for her minimal and chic style. Also her becoming the second Michelle Obama for UK fashion industry.

So this week, I am jumping on the royal wagon and talk about something William and Kate.Leanne Season 5

So if you have read my last post, you know that Kate will be wearing an Alexander McQueen custom designed by Sarah Burton for her wedding. This is only one of the three outfits she will be having.

And with everyone else green with envy of the chance to design for the lady, Project Runway throw something in commemorate of the wedding. A collection of designs drawn by 52 of the list of designers from all eight seasons.

I have to make one thing clear. This are just sketches of what these designers think Kate should wear. It’s not actually worn by Kate.

Sp there were 52 sketches from the Project Runway alumni club. From Michael Costello, Emilio, Seth Aaron, Ivy Higa to Mondo, Daniel Franco.

I have two main favorites. Ivy Higa and Leanne Marshall.

Ivy, as we remember is the angry asian chick who is always against Michael Costello. Leanne, on the other hand is the season 5 winner.

Ivy had designed a very symmetrical and simple look for Kate. Soft and I think pleated. Nothing much to describe it with but pure minimal beauty.

As for Leanne, she drew a floral detailed, open back, mermaid fishtail gown. It is soft, feminine and befitting of a royal gown.

Here less chat, and here are the few that I love the most from the 52 sketches.

It’ll be interesting to see what Kate decides to wear. With the absence of a royal family in the US, I’m sure all the tabloids/news media outlets will be all over it.
