Sneak A Peek

Peek-a-boo! That is what I can say about this post. It seemed to be a trend that everyone had it coming with all the lace, cutouts and see-through chiffons on the runway for the last two seasons.

So ladies buckle up on some light see-through dresses and tops, because it is here to stay, or so I think.

This trend was spotted by and here’s some of my recommendations and celebrities who owned the pee-ka-boo look.

In the list from, there was only a selected few looks that I fell for. There was Abbey in her loose fitting nude top and long chiffon skirt (Gucci), Lily in a flame red Dior see through dress, Blake in Elie Saab’s burgundy and Karolina in layered wrap dress.

Well, not all peek-a-boo works but these few looks are to die for, especially Abbey Lee’s look because it is more day-to-day and simple look compared to all the other evening looks.

Here’s a mood board (below) I made from the S/S 2011 collections. Highlight pieces I think would be great to join the Peek-a-boo clan.

Just to note some of my personal favourites, there is the Dolce and Gabbana body suits and tops made of lace curtains and table tops and the white YSL trench coat that I can’t take my eyes away from.

Though the YSL coat is a different kind of peek-a-boo, with its high slit at the front and the crotch pocket.

The dSquared2 lace shoulder cocktail dress is an amazing little black dress to add to your many little black dresses.

The Alexander Wang sheer white tee dress is something similar to Abbey’s look which is to die for and of course, the Marc Jacobs jumpsuit which is done with sheer fabric that look so soft and flowy, it is great for a summer afternoon!

Well, that is all. Just a impulsive short post. Enjoy.

Till then, Au Revoir!
